punctum

Punctum: the detail which attracts the viewer to the painting/ print/ photograph/ book/ etc: after noticing it, the object is transformed, seen with new eyes. If unnoticed, confusion ensues.

Amanda created this book as her final project for a photography-based college study abroad trip during the winter of 2017. She wanted to create a book that would provide the viewers with a different way of physically handling a book. The layout gently directs the reader to flip pages back and forth to draw connections between the images and see what emerges.
