These poems are a series of words sharing the emergence through experiences of life. First as a young black girl, then as a woman, and as just another human spirit feeling life. They are experiences that we all can relate to in some way since we all go through the ups and downs in the ebb and flow of living.

Mercedes Weathers
Mercedes Weathers is a native to Philadelphia. Although she studied sculpture at Sarah Lawrence College, she has been writing poetry since she could write- mainly expressing the experiences of life. She especially loves incorporating her poetry with a sculptural piece to bring the two worlds together.
