A Daisy it Must Bee

This Book symbolizes the imagery of a daisy, and bee, all part of nature; how the warm season emerges and the cyclical time reveals new life, new growth. The rhythmic pattern of the daisy and bee unfold on each page in juxtaposition manner. The edge of the pages represent a curve of a daisy petal, or multiple petals together, the bee body, its wing. I worked with the page edges and alignment of the daisy and bee forms, with variation throughout the book for a connected story.

Blue Leaf

This Book symbolizes a single leaf form, part of nature, my own interpretation of a leaf form carved from a hand made stamp using the color Blue not Green; the rhythmic pattern displayed allows movement and yet connection to each leaf as the pages open. The warm seasons emerge in a cyclical time, revealing new life, and growth. Such a sense of wonder for those drawn to its power.
