I used the Venetian Blind book structure in this work. I pounded leaves and florals on handmade cotton paper soaked in madder and cochineal dye. The leaves were foraged and the florals grown on the land where I live today. Land once promised to the Lenape by William Penn's sons in the Walking Purchase. The work emerged from their footsteps.
