I have had an extensive art career. I started making baskets, which turned into sculptures, and exhibited them in galleries throughout the country. I went on to make installations, large sculptures using branches, handmade paper and found material. When I started going on artist residencies, I turned to artist books.

Hope01

I am inspired by nature’s magical beauty. I love the organic shapes, texture, movement and earth tones found in nature. Gaudi’s buildings and Matisse’s cut outs influence me. My imagery conveys feelings of joy and excitement. I discover my love of paper and create collages.

My artist book Hope01 symbolizes a new concept which is emerging into being. It illuminates this complex issue, hope, with the upward movement.
