"Beneath" documents a story of the coming of spring, the thawing out of the natural environment after being hidden away for some time.  The emotions surface, as previously hidden objects begin to be revealed.  A relatable story that many have experienced- a transition of the seasons where objects are frozen in place, embedded in ice, obscured.  This emergence also symbolically mimics the emotions associated with being stuck in a life situation, like being trapped in a relationship where you can no longer thrive.  This artist book hints at the positive as the transition happens.
